Hull returns to the Fringe this year with Doctors Hate Her, bringing back her signature sarcasm and mischievous misdirection. The show’s description is just a little bit misleading with the concept of “weird tricks”, but it doesn’t take anything away from the actual show itself. The title makes more sense, as the parents of Hull’s ex are both doctors, and one can assume that they probably aren’t her biggest fan. But don’t worry – Hull is certainly able to hold her own and holds nothing back when it comes to his mother’s casserole.

Hull is a great comedian who uses the beliefs of the audience to her advantage, luring them in and then quickly turning the tables on them. We are introduced to Hull’s boyfriend of four years and begin to grow fond of him, only to be told that they actually broke up. It’s one example of Hull’s fantastic ability to play with audiences, which involves just a bit of crowd work. Doctors may hate Hull, but audiences will love her.
