What happens in the show?
Maxwell the South African Bubbleologist shows off an impressive display of bubble art while doing aerial tricks under a circus tent.
What did you like most about the show?
“I liked the very super massive bubbles! And when the man fell asleep and floated high up in the sky!”
Was there anything you didn’t like?
The performer got a bit rattled a few times with tech glitches.
What did your grown-up think about the show?
It had really dreamy, serene moments when the bubbles were floating over the audience – giant long sausages, smoke filled bubbles, blizzards of wee bubbles. It was pretty mesmerising and the messages about deep breathing and relaxing were a nice touch.
Would you tell your friends to go to the show?
Yes, I took Alvie’s six and 11-year-old cousins and they liked it – a calm, gentle show with cool science experiments for entertaining different ages.
The Flying Bubble Show, Underbelly’s Circus Hub on the Meadows, until 23 Aug (not 12, 19), 3.10pm
