What happens in the show?
The man was a silly guy, he drawed a face on his tummy. And he had wheels on his shoes. In his box there was a baby that was always crying and another baby that was hitting him.
What did you like most about the show?
His doggy was invisible. He kept doing silly voices and crazy faces. Even his mop could do talking. He kept making me laugh.
Was there anything you didn’t like?
No.
What did your grown-up think about the show?
It was genuinely funny for grown ups too. Absurd and playful and wonky and daft. All the battered, budget props were perfect – a box full of those whining groan tubes, puppets made entirely from chattering teeth, creepy doll babies. It was incredibly sweet and wholesome in one sense – he’s an amazing, old fashioned entertainer and very talented sillyman, but with an edge to the jokes sometimes that reminded me of surreal comedians like Seymour Mace or The Delightful Sausage, for example.
Would you tell your friends to go to the show?
